The drama surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers and disgruntled point guard Kyrie Irving doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.
Kyrie Irving’s relationship with LeBron James continued its public downward spiral over the weekend when Irving was seen laughing as Warriors guard Steph Curry mocked LeBron James’ infamous workout video while in attendance at ex-Warrior and current Maverick Harrison Barnes’ wedding.
During the reception, “First Day Out” by Tee Grizzley came on – the same song in the background of LeBron’s workout video – while party goers were on the dance floor. Not missing a beat, Curry began to mimic LeBron by copying the same ridiculous dance moves and facial expressions used in LeBron’s video, all while Irving watched and laughed nearby.
LeBron’s workout video, posted to Instagram on the same day of the Warriors’ championship parade, quickly went viral back in June, as viewers started the “#LeBronChallenge” to share their own videos imitating the four-time MVP.
While Cavs owner Dan Gilbert recently said he believes Irving and the Cavs can repair their damaged relationship, Irving, who took a trip to Asia and is now yucking it up with the team’s biggest rivals, doesn’t appear to be interested.
Irving, a West Orange, N.J. native, listed the Knicks as one of his four preferred destinations.
