Tig Notaro: Louis C.K. should ‘handle’ sexual misconduct claims

Comedian Tig Notaro is adamant that Louis C.K. should address past allegations of sexual misconduct.

Notaro’s Amazon show “One Mississippi” addresses sexual misconduct in an episode where a man of power masturbates in front of a character in the workplace — something that Louis C.K. has been accused of in the past, the Daily Beast reported.

“I think it’s important to take care of that, to handle that, because it’s serious to be assaulted,” Notaro said in an interview with the Daily Beast. “It’s serious to be harassed. It’s serious, it’s serious, it’s serious.”

Louis C.K. is listed as a producer on the show, which makes Notaro increasingly frustrated.

In 2013, Gawker published a piece titled, “Which Beloved Comedian Likes to Force Female Comics to Watch Him Jerk Off?”that described an alleged incident between C.K. and two female comics.

The incident allegedly involved the famous comedian beginning to masturbate in front of them and reportedly “stood in front of the door, blocking their way with his body, until he was done.”

Two years later, Gawker ran a second piece where an unidentified part-time comedian claims he spoke on the phone with Louis C.K. about the allegations.

Roseanne Barr blatantly named Louis C.K. as the comedian who was “locking the door and masturbating in front of women comics and writers.”

“I’ve heard so many stories,” Barr said, but admitted she had no firsthand knowledge of specific incidents.

Notaro was very clear that C.K. should address the allegations, because it’s a serious matter.

C.K., 49, has only ever referenced the accusations in one interview with Vulture in June 2016.

“I don’t care about that. That’s nothing to me. That’s not real,” he said at the time. “You can’t touch stuff like that. There’s one more thing I want to say about this, and it’s important: If you need your public profile to be all positive, you’re sick in the head. I do the work I do, and what happens next I can’t look after. So my thing is that I try to speak to the work whenever I can. Just to the work and not to my life.”

A rep for C.K. did not immediately respond to a Daily News request for comment.
