A female Russian motorcycle enthusiast, who became popular on Instagram for her “sexy” and daring stunts, died in a high-speed crash.
Olga Pronina, who used the online name Monika9422, was killed Monday when her BMW S1000RR bike crashed into a barrier near Vladiokostok, Metro UK reports.
Russian police said the 40-year-old social media star died on impact, and the crash is being investigated.
It’s not clear if Pronina was filming an Instagram stunt at the time of the accident. It’s believed she left behind a 16-year-old daughter.
Pronina started riding motorcycles when she was 21, and credited riding with giving her “sparkles” in her eyes.
“I love it because it forgives me my foolishness, for saving my sorry a–, thank you for never failing me, for making my lonely nights better, for helping me to forget troubles of my life, for training my body and my brain,” she posted online, according to The Mirror. “I am grateful to it for the sparkles in my eyes. For the warm wind blowing on my cheeks when my vision is open, for unbelievable excitement and a feeling of flowing in the air, for doses of adrenaline.”
Pronina, who was also a hairdresser, often posted videos of her doing dangerous stunts on her bike in very revealing clothing.
In a video from last month, the brunette beauty is seen lying on top of her bike as she rides down a highway. She also makes a heart shape with her hands and then does a little shake for the camera.
“Guys I wish a good weekend” she captioned the clip.
Her last video on Instagram was posted just a few days before she died.
In the video, she’s seen wearing a short blue dress as she dances for the camera before getting on her bike. The post is now filled with “RIP” comments from fans.
