Luann de Lesseps is no longer a housewife.
The reality star confirmed on Twitter Thursday that she and her husband of less than one year, Tom D’Agostino Jr., jointly filed for divorce, days after shutting down rumors that their relationship was in trouble.
“It’s with great sadness that Tom & I agreed to divorce,” she posted. “We care for each other very much, hope you respect our privacy during this sad time!”
The reason for the move to Splitsville was not revealed.
‘RHONY’ star Luann D’Agostino shuts down marriage trouble rumors
De Lesseps — who calls herself “The Countess” due to a past marriage to Count Alexandre de Lesseps — had just shot down rumors in mid-July about her troubles with D’Agostino after reports circulated that the couple had issues long before they tied the knot this New Year’s Eve.
“Tom and I are in love, and marriage takes work,” the 52-year-old “Real Housewives of New York” star said in a statement to People on July 17. “We are working on this together.”
The couple’s wedding was a featured segment of Season 9 for the reality series.
One of de Lesseps’ fellow housewives, Sonja Morgan, revealed in an episode that she had previously hooked up with D’Agostino before the pair’s engagement. D’Agostino, the CEO of Smart Source, also dated “RHONY” cast member Ramona Singer.

Singer responded to the divorce announcement, writing, “I am so sorry for you…”
In a statement to E! News, Singer added that her heart breaks for her co-star.
“Luann went into this wanting to make it work,” she said. I’ve never seen her happier.”
De Lesseps was married to the Count from 1993 to 2009, and they share two children together Noel and Victoria.
