Readers sound off on specialized schools, the St. Patrick’s Day parade and Donald Trump

Fishkill, N.Y.: So another day and another assault on an American hero by President Bone Spurs (“President Trump once again attacks John McCain, says he was ‘never a fan’ of the late Arizona senator,” March 20). Remember last Veterans Day weekend when Bone Spurs couldn’t bother to visit the Marine battlefield cemetery at Belleau Wood — it was a bit misty, after all? Back in DC, he couldn’t bother to make the 15-minute trip to Arlington to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier — too busy watching Fox News! The next day he attacked the unassailable reputation of Admiral William McRaven, the Navy SEAL commander who oversaw the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden because the admiral said Bone Spurs was unfit to be the President. McCain’s heroic service to our country cannot be diminished by a cowardly clown who not only bought his way out of military service but avoids taxes and cannot even find his way to jury duty. Bone Spurs can foolishly wrap himself in our flag all he wants; real patriots can see the scoundrel therein! Gerald Browne
