Quentin Tarantino has his next gig lined up.
The legendary director is working on a movie about Charles Manson and, specifically, the 1969 murder of actress Sharon Tate, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence have both reportedly been approached for starring roles.
Tate, best known for her Golden Globe-nominated role in the 1967 “Valley of the Dolls,” was eight and a half months pregnant with husband Roman Polanski’s baby when she was stabbed to death by members of the Manson Family in August 1969.
Little-known facts about Sharon Tate on anniversary of her death
In 1971, Manson and three associates, Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian and Patricia Krenwinkel, were found guilty and sentenced to life in prison for multiple murders, including Tate.
Manson has been the subject of several novels, movies and TV shows, most recently the 2015 NBC drama “Aquarius.”
Tarantino, who recently got engaged to girlfriend Daniela Pick, said last year that he plans to retire after two more movies, possibly making the Manson flick his penultimate film.
