NBA's Zach Randolph arrested in L.A. for intent to distribute pot

The Kings want their new power forward to distribute, but this is not what they had in mind.

Zach Randolph, who the Kings signed as a free-agent last month, was arrested Wednesday in Los Angeles for possession of marijuana, with intent to distribute, which is a felony. According to TMZ, cops were first called to Nickerson Gardens on a complaint of a crowd that was allegedly smoking pot and playing loud music in the street.

Randolph was reportedly one of three people detained, but after the arrests, things really got out of control. TMZ reports that six police cars were vandalized and cops “formed a battle line to restore order.”

Randolph, who had a brief run with the Knicks starting in 2007, signed a 2-year, $ 24 million deal with Sacramento in July. He reportedly needed $ 20,000 of that to make bail this morning.
