PHILADELPHIA — Matt Harvey will make his first minor-league rehab start Saturday for the Brooklyn Cyclones at Hudson Valley, Mets GM Sandy Alderson announced.
Harvey has been on the disabled list with a stress injury to the scapula bone in his right shoulder since June 15.
Terry Collins said Wednesday that Harvey felt “fine” after throwing a live batting practice session the day before and “he wants to get out and start pitching in some games.”
The righthander had said after his batting practice session that his goal was “to get back out there as soon” as he could.
