LaVar Ball doesn’t want to be compared to the Kardashians

LaVar Ball doesn’t think the Kardashians are big ballers.

With the Balls expected to have a reality show on Facebook soon, many are starting to compare the family to the Kardashians, who have their own series — “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” — on E!. LaVar told TMZ Sports that people need to stop making this comparison.

“I ain’t no Kardashain, I ain’t no Kris Jenner. We the Balls, welcome to the Ball era,” Ball said. “I don’t like them, I don’t dislike them, Kardashians are Kardashians and Balls are Balls, we separate, we ball players.”

LaVar Ball said he doesn't like nor dislike the Kardashians, but says his family is different because they're ballers.

The father of Lakers draft pick Lonzo Ball might not like the comparison to the Kardashians, but the families are similar.

All of LaVar’s son’s names begin with the same letter (Lonzo, LaMelo and LiAngelo) as do the Kardashian daughters (Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie). Both always seem to be starved for fame as well.

Just as all the Kardashians are featured on the E! show, Ball said the upcoming Ball reality series will feature everyone in the family including Grandpa Ball and the other sons, LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball.

The upcoming Ball TV series does not yet have an official name, release date or episode count yet.

LaVar also told TMZ he plans to give the Lakers a discount on the new Big Baller Brand shoes, the ZO2s. However, the Laker celebrity fans are still going to have to pay full price.
