Crack open another beer, because “King of the Hill” might be coming back.
Fox is considering bringing back the comedy, which ran for 13 seasons from 1997 to 2010, making it one of the longest-running animated sitcoms in history.
“We have had preliminary conversations with (creators) Greg (Daniels) and Mike (Judge) and I would like to explore that,” Dana Walden, chairman and CEO of Fox Television Group, said on the Television Critics Association panel Tuesday.
“We had a very preliminary conversation given what’s going on in the country I think they had a point of view about how those characters would respond. Again, it was one meeting and I would hope to revisit it.”
The original show, which won two Emmy awards, included the voices of Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root and Brittany Murphy.
Fox also recently rebooted “The X-Files,” “24” and “Prison Break.”
