Kim Kardashian explains why she doesn’t want more than four kids

Don’t expect Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s family to get too much bigger.

The high-profile couple currently have three children, but Kardashian says she can’t envision herself ever having more than four kids.

“I don’t think I could handle more than that,” Kardashian told Elle magazine. “My time is spread really thin. And I think it’s important that in all couples, the mom give the husband as much attention as the kids.”

Kardashian and West welcomed their third child, a daughter named Chicago, in January through a surrogate. They opted to use the surrogate after Kardashian experienced placenta accreta — a medical condition where the placenta grows too deep within the uterine walls — during her first two pregnancies.

The 37-year-old Kardashian says they didn’t have a preference over the baby’s gender — they just wanted to pick whichever would be healthier.

She also noted that she didn’t try to regulate what the surrogate ate while she was carrying their kid.

“I straight-up told her, ‘Look, I ate doughnuts every single day. If you want doughnuts and ice cream, go for it. Do whatever you feel. I’m not going to be picky like that. That’s just ridiculous,'” said Kardashian, who appears on the cover of Elle’s new April 2018 edition.

Kardashian and West, 40, also have a 4-year-old daughter, North, and a 2-year-old son, Saint.

The Kardashian-Jenner crew continues to expand, as Kardashian’s half-sister Kylie Jenner gave birth to a daughter, Stormi, with Travis Scott in February.

Khloe Kardashian, meanwhile, is pregnant with her first child with boyfriend and Cleveland Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson.
