Kim Kardashian defends styling North in fake corset

North West wasn’t actually wearing a corset.

Kim Kardashian had to defend her daughter’s wardrobe choices after the 3-year-old was photographed in New York wearing what appeared to be a corset with a peach skirt and custom Yeezys.

The reality star pushed back against the outrage Wednesday, pointing out that the outfit was a one-piece simply made to resemble a corset.

“I would never put my daughter in a corset! It’s a dress I bought that is a cotton fabric that laces up & looks like a corset! Just decoration,” Kardashian tweeted with a video showing the full dress.

Kim Kardashian shuts down rumors of drug use: It’s ‘sugar’

Despite her explanation, people still said the outfit was inappropriate for the young girl because of the nature of corsets, which are intended to cinch a woman’s waist and create an hourglass figure.

The reality star pointed out the dress, which North also wore to an Ariana Grande concert in March, was simply made to look like a corset.

“WHY CANT YOU DRESS HER LIKE A NORMAL LIL GIRL,” one person wrote.

The backlash came just a day after the mom of two posted a selfie with two suspicious lines of white powder on a table behind her.

After a fan suggested the lines could be cocaine, Kardashian shut down the rumors and said the powder was spilled sugar from pixie sticks from Dylan’s Candy Bar.
