Katharine McPhee to make Broadway debut in ‘Waitress’

Katharine McPhee will soon be your server in “Waitress.”

McPhee, an actress and singer who played a theater hopeful on the NBC series “Smash,” will make her Broadway debut in the hit musical on April 10.

McPhee — who’s known for “American Idol” and her current role in the TV show “Scorpion” as well as pop albums — assumes the lead role of Jenna.

The part was originated in 2016 by Tony winner Jessie Mueller and played now by the musical’s composer Sara Bareilles.

Based on the 2007 movie, “Waitress” follows Jenna as she slings hash at a small-town diner and tries to bake her way out of a troubled marriage.

McPhee will be in “Waitress” at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre through June 17.
