Kanye West’s exclusive rights deal with Tidal terminated

Kanye West has successfully ran away from Tidal.

The rapper’s exclusivity rights deal with the streaming service has been terminated a few days after West split from Tidal over a financial dispute, Billboard reported.

West, 40, decided to leave Tidal — which is run by his longtime friend and collaborator JAY-Z — because he believes the company owes him more than $ 3 million after he failed to receive him a bonus he was promised or be reimbursed for multiple music videos, according to TMZ.

West released his last album, “The Life of Pablo,” exclusively on Tidal in 2016.

The status of the “Runaway” artist’s relationship with JAY-Z has been called into question of late after JAY-Z appeared to address their fallout in his new song “Kill Jay Z.”

In the track, JAY-Z raps: “This ‘f–k everybody’ attitude ain’t natural/But you ain’t a saint, this ain’t kumbaYe/But you got hurt because you did cool bye Ye.”

“You gave him 20 million without blinkin’/He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f–k was he thinkin’? /’F–k wrong with everybody?’ is what you sayin’ /But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane,” he continues.

JAY-Z released his latest album, “4:44,” exclusively on Tidal June 30 and achieved platinum status days later.
