John Legend and Chrissy Teigen may not have the picture-perfect marriage but it’s in their struggles they find strength, the “Love Me Now” singer recently told Cosmopolitan.
“Having a baby is a big challenge for a couple, and going through that together strengthens your bond because if you make it through [having a child], you know you can make it through anything,” Legend explained.
Child rearing only becomes all the more complicated when you factor in fertility woes.

Legend, 38, told the publication that rather than allow their struggle to conceive naturally come between them, he and Teigen remain focused on the positives.
“You want to feel like everything’s working properly and want everything to be perfect, but sometimes it’s not. I wouldn’t say we can’t conceive naturally, but I would say that it’s enough of a challenge where it felt like we needed help,” Legend shared.
“We’re lucky that we’re living in an age where we can conceive in other ways. [In vitro fertilization] brought us Luna and hopefully it will bring us a few more awesome kids, too.”
The Grammy award-winner also briefly touched on Teigen’s recent reveal that she’d decided to cut back on her drinking, telling Cosmopolitan he’s supporting her all the way.

“When she was thinking about how she wanted to drink less, we talked about it. I just want to support her,” he said. “I want her to be happy and to live the fullest, most awesome life she can, and I want us to do it together.”
The model-turned-mama recently addressed her decision to cut back on the booze, telling her Twitter followers it wasn’t as big a deal as it was made out to be.
Teigen explained that she made the decision after a meaningful wellness retreat. She added that she never intended “for that to become a story.”
The story took off after the 31-year-old told Cosmopolitan in an interview of her own that she “was, point blank, just drinking too much.”
Chrissy Teigen: Stop sending me pictures of ‘John babies’
“I got used to being in hair and makeup and having a glass of wine. Then that glass of wine would carry over into me having one before the awards show. And then a bunch at the awards show,” she said.
“Then I felt bad for making kind of an a- of myself to people that I really respected. And that feeling, there’s just nothing like that,” Teigen added. “You feel horrible. It’s not a good look for me, for John, for anybody.”
