Joey Lawrence says he and co-star Mayim Bialik are down for a “Blossom” reboot when the time is right.
“We get asked to do that all the time, Mayim and I talk frequently,” the 41-year-old actor told Us Weekly.
“Mayim is interested in doing some type of reunion with the show and so am I, if we can find the right piece and the right way in for a reboot/reunion, we’re both open to it, there’s a lot of talk around it, so we’ll see!”
TV shows renewed and canceled for 2017-18 season
While there hasn’t been any speculation about a revival of the mid-`90s sitcom, in which Lawrence and Bialik played siblings, but reboots are Hollywood’s hottest commodity right now.
Scheduling, however, could be a problem.
Bialik stars in the long-running “Big Bang Theory,” which has already been renewed for at least two more seasons.
“Blossom” co-star Ted Wass, who played Nick Russo, hasn’t acted since then, but has gone on to direct dozens of TV shows, including “Spin City,” “Less than Perfect” and several episodes of “Melissa & Joey,” which starred Lawrence.
