Joey Bada$$ stares at eclipse and then cancels shows

He didn’t see it coming.

Rapper Joey Bada$ $ bragged on Twitter that he was looking at the eclipse without glasses — despite NASA’s warnings not to do so — and then announced he was canceling shows due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

It is unclear if the 22-year-old injured his eyes from looking up at the sun, but several people have reported eye problems after looking at the eclipse without glasses.

“Am I crazy for watching the eclipse today w no glasses? I’ve sungazed before and afterwards saw colors for a whole day. I didn’t die tho,” he wrote on Twitter Monday.

“This ain’t the first solar eclipse and I’m pretty sure our ancestors ain’t have no fancy eyewear. Also pretty sure they ain’t all go blind,” he continued.

A rep for Bada$ $ did not respond to a Daily News request for comment. The “95 Til Infinity” singer didn’t address the reasoning any further than the “unforeseen” circumstances, but retweeted several reports about the cancellation being linked to the eclipse.

He then tweeted on Wednesday, “seeing double, stacking triple.”

Blurry vision can occur from looking into the eclipse for too long after a day or two, Jacob Chung, Chief of Ophthalmology at New Jersey’s Englewood Hospital told USA Today.

They planned to name their baby Violet, then the eclipse happened

Chung explained that affected areas would swell “like an egg yolk.”

“You would basically get a burn on your central vision,” he said.

Bada$ $ , a Brooklyn native, canceled shows in Cleveland, Chicago and Toronto. He hasn’t issued any details on the rest of his performances on Logic’s “Everbody” tour.
