Billie Jean really did claim that Michael Jackson is the one.
After Quincy Jones accused Jackson of stealing “Billie Jean,” father Joe shot down the claim.
“I raised Michael, he’s my son,” Jackson told TMZ. “Quincy Jones, he knows better. I don’t want to talk about it.”
He also said it was “correct” that his late son wrote the 1982 single.
Quincy Jones calls Beatles ‘worst musicians,’ says MJ stole songs
Last week, in a wide-ranging interview, Jones claimed that the “Billie Jean” riff came from the 1982 Donna Summer track “State of Independence.”
“I hate to get into this publicly, but Michael stole a lot of stuff. He stole a lot of songs,” he told Vulture.
“The notes don’t lie, man. He was as Machiavellian as they come.”
