Hanson destroys Justin Bieber’s ‘Despacito’ remix

Hanson were once one of the biggest boy band’s in the world, but it doesn’t appear as though they’re a fan of that sound anymore after taking a shot at Justin Bieber.

In an interview with Australian radio station Hit 107, Zac Hanson compared Bieber’s music to an STD after hearing the singer’s Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee remix to “Despacito.”

“Can I just say I’m glad I didn’t now what that was?” Zac Hanson said. “I prefer not to get any venereal diseases, so whenever Justin Bieber gets near me or near my ears, it’s just ear infections, they’re terrible.”

He went on to liken Bieber to a koala because most of the animals have chlamydia.

“It’s like hanging out with a koala,” Hanson said, “Chlamydia of the ear, it sucks.”

While Hanson take their shots at Bieber it does come off as hypocritical in a way.

Hanson exploded onto the music scene in 1997 with their hit single "MMMBop."

Hanson exploded onto the music scene in 1997 with their hit single “MMMBop.”

“MMMBop” was a smash hit when the song took off in 1997, but it was a song that was extremely poppy and aimed for teens, just like much of Bieber’s music.

While Hanson fizzled out after the ‘90s, Bieber looked like he was on a similar path until he found his second wind with his album “Purpose” in 2015. No the singer can’t seem to stay off the radio and Hanson is normally just found on ‘90s themed radio stations.

But hey it’s not too late for Hanson to say sorry.
