Hackers leak spoilers to 'Game of Thrones' Season 7 finale

A group of hackers known as Mr. Smith have released spoilers to the “Game of Thrones” season 7 finale.

A detailed outline of the highly anticipated episode, set to air on Sunday, was posted on Reddit after the hackers stole an astounding 1.5 terabytes of data from HBO, Mashable reported.

The hackers, who got their hands on an internal document outlining every episode in Season 7 in late July, demanded around $ 6.5million of Bitcoin from HBO.

The data breach also reportedly included scripts, videos, emails, and other information.

The network offered to fork over $ 250,000 as a bounty payment, according to Variety, but the hackers stuck to their demands and have been releasing waves of information in the meantime.

This isn’t the first time a TV show has been used as ransom – a hacking group released the fifth season of Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black” this spring even after they received a payout.
