Get to know the actress who stole the funnyman’s heart just 15 months after the death of his first wife, Michelle McNamara.

She’s a Harvard graduate

The 47-year-old’s got beauty and brains. The actress graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1992, and didn’t stop there. She also earned a training in mediation from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2009.

She’s embraced the role of step-mom

Oswalt’s 8-year-old daughter Alice makes frequent appearances on her future step-mom’s Instagram account, and the grade-schooler seems to have given her full seal of approval to her dad’s new squeeze.

Last month, Salenger posted a sweet picture of her and Alice in the pool with the caption, “Happiest me!” and just one day later, shared a photo of the pair hugging with the caption, “This muppet has my heart.”

When Salenger announced her engagement on the social media platform, she even included Alice in the fun, and declared her love for the child in her Instagram caption.

She’s got a “Star Wars” connection

Remember that time Oswalt gave a Star Wars-inspired filibuster on “Parks and Recreation”? His fiancée’s also got a connection to the galaxy far, far away. Salenger voiced Barriss Offee, Pluma Sodi and Che Amanwe Papnoida on the cartoon series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” for nine episodes from 2009-2013.

She rose to fame as a teenager in a Disney flick

At just 15, Salenger starred alongside future star John Cusack in 1985’s “The Journey of Natty Gann.” The Depression-era Disney flick starred her as the title character, a tomboy teen who ditches her guardian and embarks on a cross-country adventure to find her father.

She’s a Los Angeles mediator

This should come in handy for any future arguments — Salenger has successfully mediated over a hundred cases throughout the Los Angeles Superior courts. According to her LinkedIn profile, she’s dealt with all sorts of cases, from business disputes, to earthquake, fire and auto claims.
