“Fawlty Towers” star Andrew Sachs has died at 86, according to BBC.
The British actor was best known for his role as the Spanish waiter Manuel on the 1970s sitcom, a character that earned him a British Academy of Film and Television Arts nomination.
Sachs also had roles on Coronation Street and EastEnders.
In 2008, the actor was on the wrong side of a BBC Radio prank when the host and comedian Russell Brand left him several lewd voicemails about his granddaughter.

“Just heard about Andy Sachs. Very sad. I knew he was having problems with his memory as his wife Melody told me a couple of years ago,” John Cleese tweeted Thursday.
“A very sweet, gentle and kind man and a truly great farceur. I first saw him in ‘Habeas Corpus’ on stage in 1973. I could not have found a better Manuel. Inspired.”
