Cousins to have film crew chronicle journey through free agency

This is a season finale Jets fans will be on the edge of their seats for.

Kirk Cousins has reportedly had a film crew follow him and his family the past few weeks in order to give fans an inside look into his free-agent journey as he attempts to decide which team to sign with: the Jets, Vikings, Broncos, or Cardinals.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, in addition to chronicling his free agency decision, the documentary will offer viewers a glimpse of Cousins’ offseason routine, including living with his in-laws, working out, fatherhood and his daily life in general.

The documentary will likely be similar to Tom Brady’s “Tom vs. Time” show, which chronicled Brady’s home life and a behind-the-scenes look at the Patriots star quarterback throughout the 2017 season.

“We are opening up our home to allow a behind the scenes look into what really transpires before the contract number scrolls across the bottom line of ESPN,” Cousins told ESPN.

It’s not known when the footage will air or on what platform.

Cousins will likely command an exuberant contract that will make him the highest-paid player in NFL history.

Money isn’t the only deciding factor for Cousins when it comes to making his free agency decision, as the former Washington quarterback has also made it known he prefers to play for a competitor.

A starter for the past three years, Cousins has appeared in the playoffs just once, losing to the Packers, 35-18, in the 2015-16 Wild-Card game.
