Control of state Senate hangs in the balance of Tuesday's elections

“Our conference will be a reflection in many ways of the state of New York, geographically, demographically, gender, so on and so forth,” Stewart-Cousins told the Daily News. “We will also be able to stand up to so many of the regressive policies of the current federal administration and the President as well as secure New York as a place where good progressive ideas no longer go to die, especially in the Senate.”
