Chris Pratt, Anna Faris announce they’re separating

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced late Sunday night that they’re separating.

“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed,” each actor posted on their own social media accounts.

“Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

The couple met on the set of “Take Me Home Tonight” in 2007 while Faris, 40, was still married to Ben Indra.

Just months before they were married, Pratt, 38, gushed about his soon-to-be bride.

“I knew I wanted to marry her pretty soon (after I met her),” he told People in April 2009.

“It took a while for me to admit it, because it would be crazy to be like, ‘I want to marry you’ the first day I met her. But I could have!”

Pratt, who began his career on “Everwood,” has seen a meteoric rise in popularity over the last few years, including leading roles in “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Jurassic World.”

He and Faris, the star of the CBS sitcom “Mom,” made up one of Hollywood’s cutest couples, frequently sharing social media photos of their adorable family.

In December, the actress spoke about handling a public relationship, specifically unsubstantiated cheating rumors that circulated in the fall of 2015.

“I take pride in how great my relationship is with Chris, but having said that, of course, in this crazy world where he’s off doing movies and I’m in L.A. raising our child, of course I’m going to feel vulnerable, like any normal human would,” she said on her “Anna Faris is Unqualified” podcast.
