Celtics fans may have to go out and replace all the Isaiah Thomas jerseys they burned this week.
The blockbuster deal between Boston and Cleveland that would include Thomas being swapped for Kyrie Irving may not happen.
Thomas underwent a physical on Friday, and a potential lingering issue with his injured hip has the Cavaliers “still evaluating” the deal, according to ESPN.
The team is now “weighing options” over the completion of the deal, which the report refers to as a “very sensitive situation.”
Boston agreed to trade Thomas, Jaw Crowder, Ante Zizix and their 2018 first-round pick from the Brooklyn Nets to the Cavs for Irving earlier in the week.
