Pro golfer Bill Haas was seriously injured in Los Angeles when the Ferrari he was riding in hit multiple cars — including one driven by actor Luke Wilson — and killed the driver.
The Ferrari rolled over in Pacific Palisades just before 6:30 p.m. local time Tuesday night, and the driver died at the scene, officials told news channel KTLA.
It was heading south on North Chautauqua Boulevard when it sideswiped a Toyota FJ, which Wilson was driving, and crashed into a BMW moments later, officials said.
“His vehicle basically just got clipped by the Ferrari,” Detective Jeff Fischer of the Los Angeles Police Department told KTLA of Wilson’s car.
A 50-year-old woman was injured when the Ferrari struck her BMW, which flipped on its side and landed against a parked car, according to local ABC affiliate KABC.
She was taken to the hospital along with Haas, 35, who Fischer told KTLA was “doing okay.”
But Haas, who’s in stable condition, is “not good,” a source told Golf Digest.
The six-time PGA champion is in Los Angeles to compete in the Genesis Open this week.
The accident was just a few miles away from Riviera Country Club, the open’s venue.
Wilson, 46, wasn’t seriously injured in the crash, KTLA reported.
