Nick Viall is a bachelor once more. The former “Bachelor” star and fiancée Vanessa Grimaldi have decided to end their engagement, according to E! News.
“It’s with a great amount of heartbreak for the both of us as we have decided to end our engagement,” the couple said in a statement to E!
“We gave this relationship our all and we are saddened that we did not get the fairytale ending we hoped for. We will continue to be there for each other no matter what. This hasn’t been an easy decision, however, as we part ways, we do so with lots of love and admiration for each other.”

It’s unclear what caused Viall and Grimaldi to end their relationship.
Following their televised engagement, the “Bachelor” Season 21 couple had been spending lots of time together in Los Angeles.
The pair kept much of the details surrounding their relationship, specifically their plans to marry, under wraps. They were, however, very clear with fans that they were focused on getting to know one another better before rushing to the altar.
In July, Viall told People magazine he was “glad” he took a risk returning to the Bachelor Nation franchise. Still, the unlucky in love reality star claimed he and Grimaldi both thought pacing themselves was “important.”

“Nothing’s changed,” he said of their wedding plans. “I think it’s always important to take things slow.”
Though they did not often speak about their relationship, both were very public in their affections for one another on Instagram.
Viall recently shared a photo of Grimaldi he snapped during what appears to be a dinner date, captioning the candid “Dinner with a view.”
Neither he nor Grimaldi has said any more about their split at this time.
