Arie Luyendyk Jr. turned himself into a villain with just one canceled engagement, but both of his scorned exes seem ready to move on.
On the first night of the two-part “Bachelor” finale, the 36-year-old former racecar driver broke up with Lauren Burnham — while admitting he still loved her — and proposed to Becca Kufrin.
In the third hour of the special, he proceeded to dump Kufrin, citing his lingering feelings for Burnham.
By Tuesday night, Luyendyk had offered weak apologies to both women and revealed he is, in fact, dating Burnham.

“I did what I did, and I stand by that. And all I can do is apologize,” he told “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison. “At the end of the day, I’m just trying to sort out what’s best for my life. This is one experience. This is a show, but this is fading and fleeting and the rest of my life is something that I have to deal with.”
Luyendyk had already made his amends to Burnham, earlier in the episode and told her he had completely moved on from Kufrin.
“Yes, 1,000 percent,” he told her. “My heart’s with you and will always be with you.”

“I think he is great, but the one thing that is present right now to me is just his bravery and his honesty, and I think that he did an amazing job at handling this whole thing,” Burnham said of the disastrous breakup.
“And he couldn’t have gone about it in a more respectful way, and I’m really proud of him.”
Kufrin was also able to confront her ex, but told him she doesn’t feel any ill will.
“I’m always going to have love in my heart for you. I mean, you were my fiancé and I did fall in love with you. But I moved on and I’m ready for the next chapter of my life. I don’t want to keep looking back in the past. I want to move forward,” she told him.

“I forgive you, I do. The entire situation, it’s hard, but you learn from everything and it just adds to my story. I do want you to be happy. I hope that Lauren is your one and that you have found that happiness in her. I just want you to be honest with her, and just hold her heart high, have the most respect for her, be committed to her, because this was a lot to go through.”
