76ers center Joel Embiid catches two balls at Home Run Derby

When you’ve got hands the size of Joel Embiid you don’t need a glove to catch baseballs.

The 76ers big man was hanging out at the Home Run Derby with rapper Meek Mill in the Clevelander, a nightclub behind the left field wall at Marlins Park, and it was prime territory for home run balls.

Embiid tweeted that he caught two balls and lauded Derby champ Aaron Judge, calling him a “beast.”

Cameras also caught the seven-footer miss grabbing another home run off the bat of runner up Miguel Sano.

Sixers fans were probably praying Embiid didn’t break his hand or hurt himself trying to catch any of these balls, but he reassured everyone that there was nothing to worry about on Twitter.

“I killed a lion with my bare hands so I’m great lmao #TheProcess,” he tweeted, referring to a story he’s told about how he had to kill a lion when he was six years old growing up in Cameroon.

Sometimes you’ve just gotta trust the process.
